several parts of the country from March 3rd to 9th March 2026. The rainfall is likely to
intensify and peak between 4th and 7th March 2026, before decreasing in most areas by
8th March 2026. However, heavy rainfall exceeding 20 mm in 24 hours is expected to
persist in the Lake Victoria Basin, Western Kenya, Parts of Central Highlands, the

The intensity is projected to decrease by 1st March 2026 over the Southeastern lowlands, the Coastal region, and the Highlands East of the Rift Valley (including Nairobi). The heavy rainfall is expected to continue and extend to parts of Northeast from Thursday 30th October 2025.
