The role of Meteorological Consultancy Services is to engage the public through awareness creation of meteorological products and services. Specific role includes:

  1. Advising clients on the effective use of weather and climate data and information;
  2. Collection of cost recovery from the various revenue streams in the Department,
  3. Marketing, research, customer care services and customer satisfaction surveys;
  4. Carrying out economic evaluation, and/or cost-benefit analysis of meteorological services;
  5. Costing value-added products and services
